Berlin: G. Fischer Verlag, 1927. First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good+. First edition, first printing (with "1. bis 15. auflage") with separately paginated Tractat bound in with faux wrappers. Near fine with several tiny red spots to exterior and slight toning to cloth. In a Very Good+ correct first printing dust jacket, with light toning, light stains to spine and a partial split to the center of the rear spine fold which has been repaired on the blindside with mending tissue.
Synopsis
Steppenwolf (orig. German Der Steppenwolf) is the tenth novel by German-Swiss author Hermann Hesse. Originally published in Germany in 1927, it was first translated into English in 1929. Combining autobiographical and fantastic elements, the novel was named after the lonesome wolf of the steppes.
