Extremities lightly worn, else G+ in G dj, which is lacking the top inch of the front panel, and is chipped and well worn. Robert Louis Stevenson had met and fallen in love with Fanny Osbourne, who was married to an American. Early in August, 1879, he followed her to California, where she finally procured her divorce. In the meantime, he was at Monterey, continuing to write. In 1880, they were married, and after a honeymoon in the Napa Valley, returned to Scotland. In 1888 Stevenson and his family were once again in San Francisco, this time setting sail for the South Seas, where he would spend the rest of his life. Six Guns 1117.
