About This Item
First edition, first and only printing. Hardcover. Photographically illustrated paper-covered boards, no dust jacket as issued. Photographs and concept by Roni Horn. Text by Jan Avgikos and Kathleen Merrill Campagnolo. Designed by Jack Wood (Twin Palms Publishers) and Arlyn Eve Nathan. 48pp. with 15 four-colour plates on heavy-stock uncoated paper. 39x53cm. This edition was limited to 1000 hardbound copies. This book is cited in Martin Parr and Gerry Badger, the Photobook: A History, Volume II (London and New York, Phaidon, 2006.) Out of print. Very scarce. Published on the occasion of the 2000 exhibition of Roni Horn at SITE Sante FE. A beautifully designed and produced large dimension publication of Roni Horn's seris of offset lithographs 'Still Water (The River Thames, for Example)' which incorporate, along a white strip below the image, number literary and historical references to the river. This very large-format unique and extraordinary edition of her work has become very difficult to find.
This is a Very Good copy (published without dust jacket) with the following defects noted and in photograph (others in Very Fine condition): 1. minor wear at corners 2. light discolouring on front cover (areas have faded from green to blue). 2. minor wear along the spine.
