About This Item

Clarksville, TN: Allison (Clarksville Tobacco Leaf Pt.), 1883. Handbill, 5 7/8 x 9 3/8 inches, printed on yellow paper, headline in large bold capitals. Allison offers a reward for the return of a gold watch stolen from him at Union Station in St. Louis on October 5th, 1883 while he was waiting for a train, describing the watch and noting that it is engraved with his initials. Apparently not recorded on OCLC (which locates a half dozen items from "Clarksville Tobacco Leaf Pt."). Traces of mounting verso, right edge frayed, else very good.
