"The work herewith presented is based upon the author's handbook and catalogue of the collection of building and ornamental stones in the United States National Museum at Washington." 551 pages with index. 16 page catalogue of other John Wiley & Sons books for sale at conclusion. Grey cloth covers with gilt lettering on spine. Cover corners and edges are rubbed, marking and scuffing to cover faces. Spine has significant rubbing at top that causes cloth to fray, tears and fraying to spine tips (large tear on bottom), and rubbing on front joint. Front hinge broken, and first pages are chipped along edges. Ex. lib stamp and identification numbers on second page. Interior pages are browning along edges, otherwise clean. Book in Good condition.. Third Edition, Revised and Enlarged. Cloth. Good. Illus. by Photographs, Figures. Size: Approx. 6 " x 9 1/4". Geology.
