London: Chapman and Hall, 1845 First Edition. 2 vol. hard cover set / complete in two 420pp and 510pp volumes. "The contents of the first volume include critical notices of the lives and geniuses of Dante and Pulci with quotations from their works, and an appendix which gives the story of Paulo and Francesca, the story of Ugolino, and comments. Included in the second volume are Boiardo, Ariosto, Tasso, and an appendix giving the Italian text of some of the translations."
Volume I with toning and rubbing to spine, top-stain slightly rubbed near spine and corner front edge, shelf wear to covers, foxing to preliminaries, faint toning to interior page margins, with occasional foxing;
