Doubleday & Company, New York, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/VG. 8 1/2 H x 5 5/8 W x 1 inch inch. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior NEAR FINE / Boards Good / Dust Jacket Very Good. Sewn binding. Rag edge pages. Book interior looks unread. Book Club Edition. Boards are blue leatherette, lettering gilt in burgundy boxes. Book spine is straight, square, solid, is not sunned, has some small creases and one spot of edge wear at top free end, bottom free end has a bit of edge wear at corners and some small creases and a bruise on one corner. Dust jacket is white, lettering white/yellow, colour pictorial front. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has some age darkening on edges and folds of flaps, dj spine is maybe a bit sunned, dust jacket lower edge has a 1/4 inch rip and upper edge has two 1/8 inch rips, bottom of dj spine has a few creases, small spot of white paint on front cover, dj has minor edge wear. Book boards and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, three corners with creases, two small shallow dents to front upper board edge, minor bit of edge wear on front bottom board edge at corner, faint 1/2 inch horizontal bend line along bottom of board. Page edges top red, all bright and clear. Inner end papers are white. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. Paper is white, text is clear. Owner’s name, date, small, in ink on ffep. Illustrated by Martha Sawyers and William Reusswig.

IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
