"The Golden Jubilee of Oranjia constitutes a notable milestone in the life of our community. Fifty years our of one hundred and twenty - the total age of South African Jewry - is a sizeable portion. But it is not the years that are of primary significance; the glory of the Jubilee is the golden content, the quality of the achievements, with which the years have been filled." - Message from the Chief Rabbi, Professor I. Abrahams .
