About This Item

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1923 xviii, 328pp , [2], bound in illustrated mustard cloth, complete with all 50 b/w illustrations, as called for, [which includes head & tail-pieces]. Covers show light edge wear, bumped corners, along with age darkening. Interior shows previous owner's name "Allan M. Grant" on the front free endpaper. Someone with dirty hands had the audacity to handle this book, leaving behind the occasional fingerprint or smudge mark on the pages. Occasional offsetting from item laid-in, with publisher's offsetting on a few of the back leaves.
