Smith. 128 pp. Illustrated cloth over boards, illustrated end papers, 3 color illustrated plates. Cloth soiled, corners bumped and rubbed, edges frayed, front hinge broken, rear hinge cracked, interior uniformly age toned, isolated foxing and smudges. Contains folklore that is "free from the savagery, distressing details, and excessive pathos" of other fairytales. Stories origins are England, India, Hungary, Grimm, Russia, Wales, Ireland, Africa, Andersen, and Scotland.
