Signed and limited first edition of 100 hand-numbered copies of which this is No. 74. Illustrated with 8 wood engravings by Clifford Webb. Bound in white sheepskin by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, London.
Description: Bound in white sheepskin, with gilt title on spine flanked by 2 pictorial marks of the Golden Cockerel press and gilt Passion motif (crown of thorns and scourge) on front cover, housed in purple slipcase. Quarto: 32 × 19 cm; unpag. [93], [1]. 8 wood engravings. Gilt on top edge.
Ref.: Cave/Manson 195
Condition: A bit of bumping to tips of the slipcase, a short, red coloured pencil stroke on the purple fabric. Minor age-toning to the sheepskin. Internally quite fine.
