About This Item
Random House, 1962. Hardcover. Excellent/Very Good Minus. 8x5x1. Vintage Hardback Book with Cloth covers and Dust Jacket. Inside text is in Excellent condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Inside text appears to be UNREAD and UNUSED! There is some minor soiling to some of the outside page ends, but this has little to no effect on the inside page borders. Outside cloth covers are very nice! Dust Jacket is Very Good Minus condition due to some soiling to the back cover. The front cover, outside spine and inside flaps are all very nice. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. This is a less common title in the Landmark series and harder to find with a Dust Jacket. Book has come from a private collection. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting. Landmark Book #102. Lively and informative, The Story of Submarines is a consistently engrossing, frequently thrilling, tribute to the ships and the men who have sailed, fought and explored in the mysterious ocean depths.
