Very good condition with minor shelf scuffing and light wear to covers. Pages are clean, unmarked, and tightly bound. Author inscribed and signed on front end page. "This edition consists of 100 copies." Text in Latin and English. Limited edition. Only 100 copies were published and this one is marked No. 96. From the web: The Satire itself, a Menippean combination of prose and verse, relates the adventures, or rather, misadventures of the Scorner of the World as he traveled from his native Auvergne near Mount Cantal to seek his fortune as a scholar in the cities of Bordeaux (Comhydoria, near the water), Toulouse (Astycrium, capital city), and Paris (Argyroploeum, silver boat).
