About This Item
Inside front cover the first blue fly leaf page has been removed. Used book may have markings, writing from the previous owner. DJ has bumping, rubbing, little tears on the top, spine, edges, corners. Dampstain is visible on the front, back of the DJ but has not interfered with the inner pages or reading material. Outer edges could also have tanning, browning, stains and foxing. The man of straw is Jonsson, a gentle inarticulate man of fifty, who lives in a small New Zealand town ekeing out a precarious living. Then during the course of one summer events occur that profoundly alter the relationships within Jonsson's family and leave each of its members tragically scarred. A29.
