London: Jonathan Cape. Bound in red cloth with silver titles to spine and silver fishes vignette to front board, this dated 1948 hardcover First Edition is VG in VG dustjacket(unclipped). Signed and inscribed by author on half-title as follows, " Pane with love from Beverley". 218pp with Five Chapters and line drawings by Richard Kennedy, full-page and set in text; with coloured frontis by same artist. Very minor fading to board edges. Jacket has several tiny chips at top edge and closed tear at one corner of front panel: jacket is 99.9% complete. General condition VG. . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1948.
