About This Item

London, England: Pergamon Press. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1970. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. Graphs; This book is in Very Good condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket . The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. There is some rippling to the spine of the book due to the weight of the text block. The text pages are clean and bright with the exception of some ground-in dirt to all three edges of the text block. The dust jacket has several small edge tears, nicks and some ground-in dirt along with a two inch tear to the top front spine joint. "A pressure vessel is designed to hold liquids or gases at substantially higher or lower pressures than the ambient pressure. A high pressure difference requires a correct design in order to avoid catastrophic failures. The Stress Analysis of a Pressure Vessel app is an example of how you can design a tool for checking a family of components with a parameterizable geometry. The purpose of the app is to determine if the vessel will be able to sustain the applied internal pressure without exceeding a specified limit on the volume fraction of the material, which has exceeded the yield limit. The app solves for orthotropic plasticity using the Hill Orthotropic Criterion." (Comsol) ; Vol. 3 .
