Bookplate ffep else a Fine unread copy in VG protected dustwrapper (no chips, tears, or loss).. Royal blue cloth boards. 143pp illustrated 8vo. Notes, bibliography, index. Extracts from letters and diaries kept by members of the Struben family between 1884 & 1895. The Strubens were among the few of the early prospectors who made good on the Witwatersrand gold fields and are considered the pioneering prospectors of the Central and West Rand gold fields. He was the first to show that the quartz-pebble conglomerates (banket) contained gold in payable concentrations.
