Quarter black cloth over green snake-skin patterned stiff boards, (original wrappers bound in place), 8vo. Four parts (bound separately in three volumes) of this rare monograph: I. A Synopsis of the Species of the Genus Scudderia: II. A Synopsis of the Species of the Genus Amblycorypha found in North America, north of Mexico; V. A Synopsis of the Species of the Genus Conocephalus found in North America, north of Mexico; VI: A Synopsis of the Species of the Genus Conocephalus in North America, south of the southern border of the United States. Transactions of the American Entomological Society, volumes 40, 41. Conocephalus is a genus of bush-cricket, known as coneheads; there are numerous species in this genus. Name stamp of 'American Museum of Natural History', and 'uncatalogued' on the front wrapper of Part V and VI, no other marks. From the private library of Herbert S. Wallace.
