About This Item

New York: Praeger Publishers, 1972. First edition of this classic collection of papers on capital theory. Octavo, original green cloth, illustrated with tables, graphs, and equations. Signed and dated by Michael C. Jensen and Joseph E. Stiglitz on the front free endpaper, "Michael C. Jensen 3/28/2014 Joseph E. Stiglitz." In near fine condition. Rare and desirable signed. 'Studies in the Theory of Capital Markets' came about following the three-day Conference on Modern Capital Theory, in which participants gathered to discuss their research, which Wells Fargo would then implement to solve their financial problems. The resulting book is an analysis and reflection on Portfolio Theory, the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), the Arbitrage Pricing Theory (APT), Options Theory and the BlackScholes (8-S) Option Pricing Model, written by America's key economists.
