I. Deed of Mortgage. Paper Mill at Thetford, Norfolk, England. Thetford, Norfolk: 5 March 1702. An immense (2 feet 6 inches X 2 feet) tripartite indenture, on two leaves (the second somewhat smaller) of parchment, with three seals, between Henry Kottle and John Kottle, gentlemen, of Thetford, Suffolk, both of the first part, and John Toshiks (?) of Thetford, miller, of the second part, and Sir Thomas Hanmer of Ewwson (?) Hall in Suffolk, baronet, of the third part, dated 5 March, 1702, replacing an indenture of 27th Sept. 1673, between Henry Flower and Henry and John Kottle, leasing the mill for a consideration. II. Lease for a papermill. Paper Mill at Thetford, Norfolk, England. Thetford, Norfolk: 24 March 1743. A huge (folded, 2 feet X 2 feet 9 inches and 2 foot 3 inches X 2 feet 9 inches) indenture, with seals and stamps, on two sheets, dated 24 March 1743, between Richard Chorley of Suffolk, and John Dawney and Sheppard Frere. A lease of the paper mill, dated 25 January 1747, between Sir William Bunbury, bart., of Mildenhall, Suffolk, and Mary Russell of Thetford, Suffolk, widow and relict of Thomas Russell, late of Thetford, papermaker, dated 25 January, 1747. IV. Mortgage. Paper Mill at Thetford, Norfolk, England. Thetford, Norfolk: 20 August 1757. A huge (folded, 2 feet X 2 feet 4 inches and 1 foot 6 inches X 2 feet 4 inches) indenture, with seals and stamps, dated 20th August 1757, between William Holmes of Suffolk, papermaker, and Thomas Swale, gentleman.
