About This Item
New York: Random House, 1956. First Edition. Advance review copy with the publisher’s dated notice laid in. Illustrated with scenes from the Broadway production of Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter staged by George Axelrod. Jayne Mansfield created her signature role of sexy blonde bombshell Rita Marlowe in the Broadway debut opposite Walter Matthau and Orson Bean, and then repeated her success in the acclaimed film adaptation directed by Frank Tashlin and co-starring Tony Randall. The book has photograph illustrations including one of Jane receiving a massage, and her photo is on the front panel of the book’s binding as well as on the front of the dust jacket. Near fine copy with a trace of edge wear in a very good plus bright lightly used dust jacket with a small tear to the front panel and a bit of fading to the spine.
