About This Item
The First UK printing published by Faber and Faber, London in 1957. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with light pushing at the spine tips. Light spotting and toning to the text-block. Some mild offsetting to the blank end-papers. Free from inscriptions. The WRAPPER is complete and in Very Good condition. Light edge-wear at the upper spine and the corners. Some mild toning to the spine. Light age related markings and tiny spots of rubbing in places. A closed tear to the lower front spine fold which has extended across the lower spine. Some small closed tears to the upper spine which have been reinforced with some clear tape across the upper spine head. The wrapper however remains very attractive and is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. A very early title from the late author and very scarce with the wrapper. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
