About This Item

Spartanburg, S. C.: Saraland Press, 1995. Hardcover. VG-/VG, but with library sticker under front dj flap and sticker on back cover; very fore edges of small section of middle pages slightly wrinkled; page edges may be tanning lightly; otherwise a very nice copy. Beige cloth. Green illustrated dj. xvi, 272 pp. 16 bw, 94 color plates; weighs 4 lbs. The meticulously researched and thoughtfully presented text offers both biography and critical analysis of William Aiken Walker (1839-1921), and is studded with color plates; followed by a lengthy chronology, which includes his works of art, 161 notes, bibliography, list of illustrations, and an index. Very visual.
