Alexander lead the Macedonian forces for ten years in which time they conquer what is now Turkey, Egypt (without fighting a single battle), the Persian Empire, as far East as just across the Indus River in India an area around two million square miles. On the way home to Greece, Alexander died and the Kingdom is divided into fourteen parts by his generals - the world of Hellenism. 174 pages with over 300 colour illustrations. Book in very good condition with light foxing to first ten and last four pages. Dust jacket in good+ condition with some small tears, knocks and chips (see photo).
