Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1903. First Edition, thus. Cloth Hardcover. Very Good.

First Edition, thus with this title, with Bobbs-Merrill imprint B, Second Printing.

Light blue cloth, color pictorial cover label. The bindings are tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear with sunning of the spine and perimeter of the boards. The plate following page 6 has a minor chip centered on the foredge. Illustrated with 12 color plates and numerous black & white drawings in the text by Frank Verbeck. 4to; 9.25 inches tall; 237 pages.. This story was originally published in 1900 as A New Wonderland, and was reissued in 1903 under this title. The first chapter was replaced with 6 small chapters, some minor textual changes and the word 'Phunnyland' was replaced with 'Mo' or the 'Valley of Mo'.

Frank Ver Beck's illustrations were retained with a few marginal drawings omitted, and the color plates were reworked and printed in four-color giving them a strikingly different appearance.
