About This Item
Huntington Park, CA: Free Economy Association, 1967. Pamphlet. 69p. staplebound pamphlet, minor fading at edge of cover, very good. The author was a follower of Silvio Gesell (1862-1930), who advocated the common ownership of land and a monetary system based on the regular depreciation of the face value of currency, in order to stimulate its circulation. Here, Schubert focuses primarily on issues of land tenure and soil quality. He argues that without reform, "the USA has left to it less than 100 years of vital national existence.
