About This Item
Consul Books, 1964. Paperback. Very Good. Uncommon 1964 U.K. paperback. UNREAD COPY with unmarked pages and firm binding. Paper cover is generally clean, shows a bump at top fore edge corner only. This is NOT an ex-library book. A very good, useful and sturdy copy. "Doctor Peter Bogan, an English scientist, invents a gas which makes people forget their warlike intentions. The time is of the reader's choosing. The gas is made available to all countries. The Russian invade England, using it, but their soldiers are affected and the 'invasion' turns into a huge fete. Here, Mr Tabori takes us with a great sweep of speculation into an examination of man's absurdity which results in one of the finest novels he has written.
