Photograph. An original, limited edition photograph by Susan Meiselas from the series "Volunteers of America" titled "Fifth Avenue, New York City, USA" (1977) SIGNED BY MEISELAS. The artist's statement: "In 1977, I followed the men who performed as Santa Claus to raise funds for the Volunteers of America. They were recovering alcoholics, ringing bells on the street all day long. On Fifth Avenue, they crossed the lives of those who would never look at them otherwise." The print was available for one week only in November 2018 during a Magnum and Aperture exhibition and print sale titled "Crossings." They were issued in an unnumbered edition--limited to the number of prints purchased during those seven days--and will never be printed in this format again. They were printed to the highest standard and signed by the photographer. Digital C-Print on Fuji Crystal Archive Matte paper. Size: 6 x 6 inches. Image Size: 5.5 x 3.625 inches. Label adhered to the back with title, artist's statement, and Magnum logo. Hand-signed by the photographer to the back of the print. The label as well as all supporting materials are archival. Condition: Fine/As New, in the original glassine envelope, unopened. Will be sandwiched securely between stiff layers of cardboard and shipped the next business day.
