Boston: Little, Brown & Co, 1941. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/good. Octavo. [3], 263 pages, [1]. Green cloth hardcover with red title on front cover and spine. Color illustrated dust jacket. Dust jacket has light edge wear and some foxing to the rear edges. Slight lean to the binding with light edge wear to the boards. Signed by the author on the right front flyleaf. Previous owner signature on the front paste down and his blind embossed stamp on the title page (Bob Humphreys Georgia author and Conservationist). "RLH" initials written in silver pen on the front cover. Georgia writer Vereen Bell was killed in World War II three years after this novel was published.
