Paperback Book in Good Condition. Frontis: Portrait of Swedenborg from a crayon drawing by Torsten Schonberg, commissioned by the Swedish authorities on the occasion of Stockholm's World Fair, 1930. This widely read biography of the man who Emerson called the Aristotle of the North is the standard biography of this eminent Swedish scientist, statesman, and theologian--Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1722). The cover is clean, with wear around edges, no spine creasing; square, tight glued binding. Pages are also very clean and free from any markings; one page has been dog-eared but otherwise no creases. 298 pages plus A Brief Description of The Theological Writings of Emanuel Swedenborg. 7 x 4.25 inches.
