About This Item
First Edition. Hardcover, blue cloth over boards. Condition: Very Good. First UK edition and printing of Highsmith's third novel. Minor foxing on textblock, dust jacket and title page. More photos, or video, available upon request.
Patricia Highsmith was best known for her taut psychological thrillers (including character Tom Ripley) and for penning lesbian classic The Price of Salt, which was adapted into the 2015 film Carol. This Sweet Sickness probes the depths of obsessive love, and was adapted as an episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour - fitting for an author dubbed by Graham Greene as "the poet of apprehension."
Synopsis
This Sweet Sickness is a psychological thriller novel by Patricia Highsmith, about an insane young man who is obsessed with his ex-lover.
