General wear and soiling to boards. Gift inscription on ffep. Church library rubber stamp on title page; library pocket at rear. Two facing pages show heavy crayon scribbling. Frontispiece portrait of Nettie with tissue guard. 89 pp. 6.75 x 4.75 inches. Seven copies noted on OCLC. Biographical sketch of the evangelist Nettie Van Name (1845-1892) and her ministry and work at camp meetings between 1885 and 1892. She was well remembered for her association with co-evangelist Lidie Kenney of Philadelphia. She passed away on August 26, 1892 at residence of her brother-in-law, Rev. George Hughes, Ocean Grove, NJ. Includes a 14-page chapter of memorial tributes, including those of many reverend ministers throughout the region between Indiana to New Jersey.
