Also included is a page from a 1958 German literary with an article about Steinbeck (the article title translates to "John Steinbeck in the Mirror of Criticism"). From the dust jacket: "Sweet Thursday (naturally the day after Lousy Wednesday) is sheer delight, heightened for the reader by the presence of a few gently satirical notes - almost as though Mr. Steinbeck was poking occasional fun at his characters and himself. Condition:
Some very light soiling to the covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Light foxing to the long and bottom edges of the text block. Nice interior - the pages are mostly clean with only some light foxing at the inner edge of pages 102 & 103 (from an old bookmark left between the pages), and a few random pages with some very light foxing at the outer edge. Light tanning & foxing to the end papers and pastedowns. Overall the book is in Very Good condition. The dust jacket is un-clipped with the original price intact on the front flap; light foxing on the flaps, and a bit heavier foxing on the back cover; tiny tears at the flap and spine corners; small tear at the top edge of the front cover...overall the jacket is in Good condition.
