About This Item

Edition Medicina Rara, 1980. Facsimile reprint taken from the plates of the 1714 G. M. Lancisi first edition. One of 2300 copies bound in half leather. Fine in fine publisher's slipcase.. half maroon leather, black cloth boards, gilt. Eustachius subsequently achieved the reputation denied him during his lifetime as one of the significant founders of modern scientific anatomy - on a level with his famous predecessor Vesalius, upon whose pioneering work Eustachius elaborated in many details.
