Hardcover with dustjacket, scarce edition of the first English taekwondo syllabus book, the book is in great shape, mild signs of use to the cloth cover is the only remarkable flaw, for some unknown reason the first two front and rear end-papers have been glued together, the jacket is price-clipped and has moderate rubbing to the glossy surface and surface-wear along the bottom, the jacket remains presentable and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, this edition was published in Korea and bears the label of the North American distributor, O'Hara Publications on the copyright page and the front flap of the jacket, illustrated with photos and includes a Note on the Author by Gen Duk Shin Choi, Ambassador to Germany, known by many as the founder of Taekwon-Do, the author led an effort to promote this martial art internationally, he was also a South Korean Army General, in 1972 Choi went into exile in Canada after the South Korean government objected to his introduction of the sport to North Korea, he later visited, and defected to North Korea, an important addition to any serious martial arts library; 304 pages .
