First American printing, near fine, tight and clean hardover shows mild bumping to corners and light bit of soil at page edges, in a near fine dust jacket (price at flap) that shows some exposure toning with lightening of red letter to author name at spine and a touch of shelf wear. 926 pages with endpaper maps. Still a nice looking copy of this novel from the author of Musashi that "..combines the panaramic spectacle of a Kurosawa epic with a vivid evocation of feudal Japan.
