New York: Frederick A. Stokes, 1934. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. pp. xii, 315, bound in original red cloth. Slight soiling to boards, binding tight, text clean. No dust jacket. Inscribed on the verso of the frontispiece: "To my friend Peirson Hall with every good wish, Al Cohn, Jan 5, 1934." Biography of criminal lawyer Earl Rogers. Cohn was a journalist who covered many of Rogers' trials. At the time this book was inscribed, Pierson Hall had just become a U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California. He was later appointed by FDR as a federal judge.
