About This Item
U.S.A.: Southern Methodist University Press, 1989. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine. A superb first print copy of this critical look at author Larry McMurtry and his influence of Western Historical Fiction sine 1962. Signed by McMurtry on the front free endpaper. McMurtry won the Pulitzer Prize in 1985 for Lonesome Dove--but in Literary and Texas circles McMurtry is even more widely admired for his essays. His early work of "Horseman Pass By", Terms Of Endearment", etc..are his most admired works besides "LD"--and only slightly less in scope are his later publications. This is a title every McMurtry collector should have in his/her collection. Near fine with just the lightest of dustiness to the page edges--dustjacket is unclipped and fine.
