About This Item
Philadelphia: Griffith & Rowland Press, 1904. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. 336pp. Singed by the author with elegant calligraphic insciption, seemingly influenced by Fraktur writing, on the endpaper and dated 1911. VERY GOOD. Shows some shelf rubbing at the extremities, spine lightly toned, front hinge neatly repaired, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards are bright and colorful. As pictured. A novel of the mystics of the Ephrata cloister in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, detailed in the works of historian Julius Friedrich Sachse.
