About This Item

London: Thomas Tegg, 1811. Hardcover. 4 x 7in. 322pp. 7 engraved plates (none have been hand-colored). Bound by Zaehnsdorf in three quarters polished calf over marbled boards. Spine with 5 raised bands and 6 compartments. Morocco spine label with gilt titling. Marbled end-papers. VERY GOOD. Shows marginal shelf rubbing of the extremities, a former owner name from the 1920s neatly on the first blank, in the same hand an ink notation on a single page, some margins with light thumbing, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text and plates are clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
