London: Children's High Level Group, 2008. Undetermined. fine. 1st Edition. 180pp. 12mo. Treated brown leather with ornate silver skull, corner and clasp decoration, with set in replica moonstones. Intricated marbled endpapers. Green ribbon divider and clean tight text block. The book comes nestled in a rich red velvet satchel with gold drawstring and gilt J. K. Rowling signature embroidered upon it. The drawstring bag, containing the book, is presented hidden in a 10" X 12.5" case which is beautifully decorated, with aged faux leather, to look like a Hogwarts text book (complete with black lettering on the spine and black lettering and illustrations on front cover). As a special gift for fans the book also comes with ten 7 X 10" Collectors edition prints of drawings done by J. K. Rowling. The prints are in an envelope which fits nicely into a pocket inside the large case. The case comes wrapped in a white paper sleeve with the words "This side up". The sleeve is lightly bumped and worn at edges. A beautiful, magical set which seems to have come straight out of Hogwarts. fine This special Collector's Edition was published in December 2008 and quickly sold-out. It features a false Disguise cover, with a beautiful, intricate copy of Tales of Beedle the Bard inside. This book is a colorful supplement to the Harry Potter story and plays a key role in that series' final installment, 2007's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows This edition includes the full version of the well-known Tale of the Three Brothers plus Wizard and the Hopping Pot, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, and Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump. 2008
