Information about and description of Osceola and Lake Sac-Osage; the ancient homes, clothing, legends, relics of the Osage; the steamer "Flora Jones" and the fear its whistle wrought among the pioneers; Legends of the Monegaw Hills and including the story of his Indians' defeat and the chief's subsequent loss of respect; the death of John Younger and law officers Daniels and Captain Lull near the McFerrin cabin on March 17, 1874; a foiled bank robbery; etc. Very lightly rubbed, else a fine, bright copy.
