On the inside of the front cover is a book plate from The Abbey School. Beckenham. Summer Term 1878. " Adjudged to Clifton being the Prize for History & Geography in the 1st Class." Signed by a Mr. T. Floyd Phillifs, M.A. The hinge is loose on the front cover. There is wear along the edges of the boards. There is soiling along the edges of the pages. There is foxing along the edges of the pages. The lithographs are wonderful. The spine is covered with gold art work in six sections. Leather.. Hardcover. Good.
