New York: Robert Carter & Brothers. Fair. 1856. First Edition. Hardcover. Woodcuts; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 364 pages; 1856 Robert Carter & Brothers. HC 1st edition. No author or translator given. Framed as stories told by a father to his children with Christain asides and explanations for the pagan ways. Illustrated with some woodcuts. Original brown cloth lettered in gilt. Cloth at sun toned and titles a little dulled. Old 19th century library ownership indications. Binding cords broken mid-book with a clean and complete split mid-book. With faults. Fair only .
