New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1939. First edition of this collection of traditional Native American and Inuit stories, illustrated with woodcuts. Bright orange cloth, illustrated dustjacket. Minor edgewear, good hinges, sound text block, a name on each front endpaper, pages otherwise clean and unmarked. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and has considerable rubbing and light chipping to the extremities, light shelf soil, sunned spine, fairly little paper loss.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
