New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1957. 1st edition. Cloth. Good/Fair. 1st edition, 1957. A Good book in a Fair dust jacket. SIGNED by author on end paper, dated 5/17/58. 8vo., 383 pp., bound in publishers black cloth with price clipped dust jacket. Jacket has chips and tears on all edges, older repairs, spine is faded, generally overall worn and soiled. Previous owners bookplate inside front cover, first few pages show a shadow of paper clip that was once there, some toning to end pages and title page, several local newspaper articles about Betts laid in. Text is clean and unmarked otherwise. Dust jacket now protected in mylar sleeve.
