Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, The Riverside Press, 1888. Imperial Edition. Cloth. Good. George Wharton Edwards. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 1st edition, thus. A Good copy. 4to., iv, 190 pp., illustrated with numerous text drawings, plates, and frontispiece with tissue guard. Blue cloth beveled boards with Greek Hero illustration affixed to the front board, in gilt. Some spotting to the blue cloth, particularly the rear board. The spine's crown tip is heavily sunned, and brittle, about an inch from the top, effecting the title. End papers facing the paste down browning. Previous owner's Christmas 1888 inscription on the front end paper. A couple of the text signatures are starting to loosen. Internally clean and bright. A Good copy.
