Bound in dark green calf leather with tooled and blindstamped titles present to the spine and the front board. Leather has some light scuffing to the extremities (spine ends). Text is clean and free of marks, binding tight and solid. A very attractive and extremely rare Art Nouveau, Willy Pogany signed limited edition. Tannhäuser (full title Tannhäuser und der Sängerkrieg auf Wartburg, "Tannhäuser and the Minnesingers' Contest at Wartburg") is an 1845 opera in three acts, music and text by Richard Wagner, based on two German legends: Tannhäuser, the legendary medieval German Minnesänger and poet, and the tale of the Wartburg Song Contest.
