Black dust jacket with yellow type, in Mylar, minor shelf wear. Book itself is clean and tight, no marks, a very good copy. Yuienbo wrote the Tannisho to refute deviations from the Shin faith that had arisen among followers after Shinran's death. The Letters is a collection of 80 pastroal letters for the instruction of participants in the Shin tradition. Rennyo is revered as the restorer of Shinran's teaching, one of the most powerful religious movements in medieval Japan. ; BDK English Tripitaka Series; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 180 pages .
