The relatively little-studied 17th-century Italian painter, is the subject of this major exhibition, which features 35 paintings and over 50 drawings and some sculptures, drawn from public and private collections. He executed commissions in Rome, Lombardy in Piemonte mainly and his style reflected the influence of Caravaggio and is sometimes compared to that of contemporaries, Cerano, Morazzone and Procaccini. Essays examine his iconography, the influence of Caravaggio and restoration work. Text in Italian.
